The Council on Tall Buildings and Urbanism (CTBUH) has compiled a list of leading countries in terms of the number of buildings over 200 meters built in 2018.
The leader of the ranking was China, where 88 skyscrapers were built over the past year. The total length of these buildings was 21,556 meters. The United States is second (13 skyscrapers with a total height of 3343 meters).
The UAE is on the third line in the ranking, where 10 skyscrapers with a total height of 2665 meters were built during the year. In addition, Dubai was recently recognized as the world leader in construction projects.
A total of 1,478 skyscrapers were completed worldwide in 2018.
