Number of
mortgage loans issued in July on
new buildings has become an absolute record in the history of Russian mortgages in terms of monthly rates. This was stated by the head of the analytical center "Dom.RF" Mikhail Goldberg.
Over the past month, 50 thousand loans were issued for
purchase of an apartment in the primary market. Moreover, 80 percent of these loans were issued under the preferential
mortgage program at 6.5 percent. According to Dom.rf, this is an absolute record for issuing
mortgages for new buildings. For comparison, last year for
purchases of apartments 25,000 loans were issued per month.
“We see a significant flow of demand from the secondary housing market to the primary one due to the strong arbitrage of loan rates in favor of
new buildings”, Mikhail Goldberg noted.
A total of 140,000
mortgage loans worth 340-350 billion rubles were provided in July. In the first seven months of this year, 740 thousand
