Novosibirsk deputies discuss the bill on renovation

At a meeting of the committee of the Legislative Assembly of the Novosibirsk Region on construction, housing and communal services and tariffs, a draft federal law “On the renovation of the housing stock in the Russian Federation” was discussed. The vacated territories will be built up.
On the territory of Moscow, the demolition of Khrushchev houses is in full swing, but the topic of mass renovation in Russia has recently been raised in the State Duma. This issue is planned to be considered in 5-7 years, after solving the problem with emergency housing.

Since the law stipulates that the regional budget should look for the money for renovation, lack of finances hinders serious renovation in the territory of Novosibirsk. However, the Novosibirsk deputies consider the wording of the document relevant.

According to the deputy chairman of the committee, Dmitry Kozlovsky, the law will guarantee that the owners of apartments in houses included in the renovation program will receive equivalent housing upon resettlement. Moreover, the resettlement will be carried out within the area where the vacated apartment is located.
