According to the official forecast of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation, the growth rate of
mortgages in 2021 will be 23-27 percent. This was stated by the head of the regulator Elvira Nabiullina. Last year, this figure was 21.6 percent.
At the same time, the expected growth in the volume of retail loans to the population by the end of the current year is 21-25 percent. A year earlier, it was 12.9 percent.
“Lending continues to grow at a high pace: the pace of lending to the population is very high. For this year, we expect retail loans to grow by about 21-25%,
mortgages - by 23-27%. This is more than twice as much as the growth of nominal wages," Nabiullina noted.
