According to Deputy Minister of Construction of the Novosibirsk Region Alexei Kolmakov, it is planned to increase the volume of housing construction using the accumulated resources of previous years and the housing construction backlog formed to 12.4 million square meters. In addition, the regional authorities intend to increase the availability of mortgages with the support of the federal center, issue about 45,000 mortgage loans, which will increase the proportion of families that have the opportunity to purchase housing through mortgage lending up to 50 percent, and build more than 500 new social facilities.
Also, according to the Deputy Minister, in 2019, it is planned to commission 54 socially significant facilities, which exceeds the figures for previous years. Since 2018, large investment projects have been implemented in the region, such as the construction of an ice arena, a volleyball center, and the reconstruction of a perinatal center.
