The annual income from foreign investors who
buy apartments and houses in Turkey is about 5-6 billion dollars. Faruk Akbal, head of the Turkish real estate company Nevita International, told the Daily Sabah about this.
After the law on reciprocity came into force, in 2013 the number of transactions by .ru/alaniya/kvartira/">buying an apartment in Turkey by foreign investors approached 20,000. In 2018, this figure reached 39,000. Recall that foreigners can
buy apartments in Turkey even if their countries do not grant similar rights to Turks.
In the first seven months of 2019, foreign investors in Turkey bought 24,100 apartments. During the same period last year, 14,600 apartments were sold to non-residents. Thus, sales growth amounted to 65 percent year on year. It is expected that by the end of the year, foreigners will purchase about 50,000 more apartments in Turkey.
Along with the Russians, there is high activity on the
market real estate in Turkey showing investors from China. Recently, a group of Chinese investors purchased a 90-apartment new building in Istanbul worth $16.6 million. The Chinese company intends to purchase Turkish real estate for $87.2 million by the end of 2020.
