In 2021, the issuance of
mortgages in the Russian market amounted to a record 5.69 trillion rubles, which is more than 25 percent higher than the result of 2020. Such data is provided by VTB.
Based on the results of the last year, the Novosibirsk Region was among the top three leading regions in terms of the volume of mortgage transactions - 43.4 billion rubles. Only Moscow and the region (460 billion), St. Petersburg and the Leningrad region (107.8 billion) are higher. In total, VTB issued more than 340 thousand loans, and for the first time in history issued 1.2 trillion rubles
mortgages.
According to VTB Vice President Evgeny Dyachkin, due to
purchase of new apartments about 2 million Russians improved their quality of life last year. One of the growth drivers of the
mortgage market was the state support program, which has been in effect since 2020.
"The dynamics of the market was affected by pent-up demand due to the pandemic, the active commissioning of new development projects, as well as a record low level of rates in the first half of the year," said Evgeny Dyachkin.
