According to Dom.RF, in the first eight months of this year, Russian banks issued new
mortgage loans in the amount of 1.6 trillion rubles. This is 4 percent higher than the indicator for the same period last year.
In total, from January to August 2019, 782.7 thousand
mortgages. We are talking only about loans issued for
purchase of an apartment, and not refinancing of previously taken loans.
Rates for actually issued loans for
purchase of an apartment in August amounted to 9.91, falling below 10 percent for the first time in a year. At the same time, the rates on loans issued for
purchase of an apartment in a new building amounted to 9.35 percent.
The total mortgage portfolio for the end of August reached 7.9 trillion rubles. Of these, 0.6 trillion rubles were securitized loans.
