According to the proposed bill, after the birth of their third or subsequent children, families will be able to receive 450,000 rubles from the state to pay off their mortgages. The document will be considered at the next meeting of the Council on May 13 and then considered as a matter of priority at a meeting of the State Duma.
President Vladimir Putin came up with the initiative during his address to the Federal Assembly in February this year. Putin recalled that since 2007, a Russian family can receive maternity capital of 453,000 rubles for a second born or adopted child.
