Singapore to build world's tallest prefabricated skyscrapers

Singapore will have the tallest skyscrapers built using the prevailing pre-fabrication volume. The 200-meter buildings will be constructed using prefabricated pre-finished volumetric structures (PPVC) technology.

About 80 percent of each residential unit will be created off-site. Waterproofing, tiling, painting, glazing, joinery, plumbing and electrical will be done before building parts are delivered for on-site assembly. The new technology will allow the project to reduce wastage of time and money while maintaining greater control over production processes.

The skyscrapers will include more than 1,000 residences, 16 "pocket terraces" and a pair of large communal terraces on the 19th and 36th floors. Each building has 56 floors. The project is scheduled to be completed in 2026.
