An apartment building will also not be considered problematic if the developer builds it on a site not intended for housing construction or in violation of the requirements of the urban development plan of the land plot, project documentation, and building permits. Recall, according to a recent interview with the head of the Ministry of Construction, Mikhail Men, the number of deceived equity holders in Russia today totals approximately 76,000 people who paid for apartments in 785 problematic objects. These people are included in the relevant federal and regional registers. However, according to unofficial data, there are much more deceived equity holders in Russia - about 150 thousand people. In July, many of them took part in protests in 67 regions of the country. A month ago, Russia adopted a law on the creation of a compensation fund for equity holders. The document established a single contribution rate for developers to the fund at the level of 1.2% of the price of each contract for participation in shared construction.
