There is a real mortgage boom in Turkey. In the first four months of 2020
sales of apartments in Turkey on credit jumped by 141.4 percent. From January to April, 383,821 housing units were sold in Turkey, of which 146,387 were bought in
mortgage.
According to TurkStat, in the first four months of this year, 261,541 housing units were sold in the secondary
housing which is 26.4 percent more than last year. At the same time, the number of new buildings sold turned out to be less by 16 percent and amounted to 122,280.
