The number of registered
mortgage loans on
purchase of apartments in January 2021 increased by 12 percent - up to 204 thousand. A month earlier, in December 2020, 441,000
mortgages were registered. January indicators compared to the previous December, as a rule, differ by 2-3 times. The fact is that the greatest peak of activity in the real estate sector occurs at the end of the year, and in January, due to the New Year holidays, a decline is traditionally observed.
Also, according to Rosreestr,
secondary housing market 183 thousand transactions were recorded in January. The same number of transactions was at the beginning of 2020.
