The number of calls to the sales offices of St. Petersburg developers in May increased to high figures for the same period last year.
According to the Petersburg Real Estate Consulting Center, demand for
new buildings in St. Petersburg increased already in the first half of May, despite the large number of days off. Experts expect that by the end of the month the volume of
apartment sales will remain at an acceptable level. By the end of May, demand should grow by 10-20 percent compared to April.
Despite the self-isolation regime introduced in connection with the coronavirus pandemic, and the traditional decline in sales during the holidays, an increase in demand indicates that negative trends are leaving the market
St. the market itself is recovering. Experts compare the situation with the second quarter of 2015, when the real estate market recovered smoothly after a long crisis, in particular, thanks to government support mortgages .
Since the beginning of the pandemic, sales of all types of
St. Petersburg real estate, except for service facilities, have shown steady growth. In particular, the demand for recreational apartments has increased. Due to the spread of coronavirus infection, buyers' interest in this type of real estate has doubled.
