Russian investors are among the top three most active
buyers of apartments in Turkey. Iraqis top the list, followed by Iranians. The top six also includes investors from Afghanistan, Saudi Arabia and Germany. This is evidenced by the data of the Turkish Statistical Institute.
According to TurkStat, one of the most popular cities among foreign property buyers is Alanya. However, most often foreigners
buy apartments in Turkey's most populous city, Istanbul.
Sales of apartments in Turkey in May of this year increased by 103 percent year-on-year, to 1,734 transactions.
