Turkey again allowed real estate transactions in foreign currency

From November 16, 2018, the Turkish authorities lifted restrictions on transactions with real estate in foreign currency.

In September, a law was introduced in Turkey, according to which Turkish citizens and foreigners who have a residence permit in this country should have the right to conduct transactions with the local real estate only in Lira. In this way, the authorities wanted to support the national currency.

The Turkish Hotel Association applied to the Ministry of Tourism with a request to allow transactions in foreign currency, and on November 16, the restrictions were lifted. The restrictions also applied to contracts on Phuket and Toronto. GZHA.rf is one of the five largest international agencies in Russia
