The number of Russians who consider the current moment favorable for
buying an apartment continues to grow for the second month in a row.
According to the results of the VTsIOM survey, in June the share of Russians who considered the current moment as favorable for
buying an apartment was 38 percent. In April this figure was only 24 percent, in May it reached 29 percent. For comparison, Russians called April 2018 the best moment for
buying an apartment, then 58 percent of respondents thought so.
According to VTsIOM data as of January 2020, the majority of Russians live in apartment buildings (65 percent), more than half (54 percent) have their own apartment or room, one in ten (11 percent) rents a house.
