Housing market in Phuket is recovering

Local experts are seeing an increase in activity in the Phuket residential property market. Housing in Phuket is starting to interest foreign buyers again.

Life is returning to the Thai island thanks to the Sandbox program, which was launched about four months ago. A total of 59,689 foreign tourists visited Phuket from July 1 to October 30, according to official figures.

Before that, for almost two years, the island lived off the domestic market. Apartments in Phuket were only of interest to local buyers who were looking for a holiday home. Scheme returned to the market
