In February of this year, the number of
purchases of apartments with a mortgage in Turkey amounted to 43,733. This is 391 percent more than in the same month last year.
According to the Turkish Statistical Institute, in January and February 2020, with the involvement of
mortgages in Turkey 85,970 properties were purchased. Thus, in just two months, the number of housing transactions involving bank financing exceeded the figure for the entire first half of 2019.
